The Misco Greenhouse is “okay”. We needed to add a support bar at the top (pointy part) and extended the bottom legs to keep the plastic from rubbing on the ground. It is not intended for heavy objects. We also added plastic sheets to the shelves in order to make it easier to keep clean. Time will tell how it survives the Florida heat.

  2. I found this mini greenhouse on sale for $19.95 and I’m more than pleased with what I got. At regular price it’s great, for half that it’s simply an incredible bargain.

15 minute assembly and it suits all types of potted plants just fine.

The shelf is very light, so you may want to stake it to the ground or use patio bricks on the bottom shelf. It will not take high winds and it’s not designed for that anyway. It’s a thin shelf covered in plastic, not a glass greenhouse. Weight it down and you’ll be fine, or use it in an area out of direct wind.

If you’re looking to get a few weeks head start on planting, this is the ticket. Even on a cooler day in the mid 40s you can expect this to hit 75-80 in full sun inside. As the temps rise outside, keep an eye on the temps in the greenhouse and vent by opening the flap as necessary. When you reach regular temps during the night, remove the plastic and use the shelves as storage or split them up for more plant space.

This is an excellent system for any Northern gardener wanting to get a head start.

I used this greenhouse on my back deck and the first storm we had blew the greenhouse and all of my plants over. It would be ok if you had some way to anchor it down or to protect it from wind.

This portable greenhouse was very easy to assemble. It’s reasonably constructed, although the wire shelves are made out of a pretty thin gauge wire. The plastic covering is thin, but so far durable.

Even though the construction of this is kinda cheap, it has been stable and seems relatively durable in spite of its cheap construction.

Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

  5. This product looked like it would work just fine….at first. but after using it, the product has no weight so any wind will knock it down. I didn’t use stakes or anything to anchor it to the ground, which isn’t mentioned in the paperwork that came with it. oh and it cannot be used in any areas that happen to have temperatures at least 90 degrees Fahrenheit. the plastic melted!!! It is now completely useless to me as a greenhouse. I can use it for the shelves i think. still no weight to them so they’ll have to either be used indoors or anchored when used outside. looking into customer support and hoping to get either a reimbursement or a replacement. one star cuzz it could be used in cooler climate areas. too bad it doesn’t mention that.
